Must try, delicious πŸ˜‹ Ingredients: For the Meringue 10 egg whites (room temperature) 3/4 cup white sugar 1/2 tsp cream of tartar For the filling (egg custard) 10 egg yolks 1 can condensed milk (any brand) 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 tbsp butter We will also be needing Powder/Icing Sugar & Oil spray Bake at Preheated oven for 20-22 mins at 350 Β°F or 176 Β°C. ENJOY ❀️ πŸ“TIPS ✏️ The meringue bowl must be grease free, it means NO oil, butter or else we can’t achieve good meringue. ✏️ Grease all sides of the pan generously. So the meringue will not stick too much on the baking paper, it’s more easier to peel, but be careful removing the baking paper. Breaking the meringue? No worries you will cover it with egg custard. ✏️ Separate the eggs one by one in the separate small bowl, then put it in the mixing bowl. This way, you will not risk the whole batch of egg whites when a yolk accidentally taint in it. Egg yolk in the egg whites? And using an electric mixer, beat this mixture until it is glossy and stiff peaks form. I will try to make a delicious Filipino dessert recipe called brazo de mercedes! I have seen it a few times but never actually tasted it or tried out to make it myself so this time lets go for it and see how yummy this dessert will turn out! #pinoyplanetvlogger #pinoyplanet #filipinodessert I am curious to the origin of this Filipino delicacy, do you know it? INGREDIENTS - 6 egg whites - 6 egg yolks - about 175ml of sweetened condensed milk (a little bit less than half a can) - 50g of white sugar - tiny teaspoon of vanilla extract - powdered sugar PROCESS I split the egg yolks from the egg whites and mix in the condensed milk and vanilla extract with the yolks. On low heat I keep stirring till the mixture gets thick like a yummy custard. Then in the kitchen machine (highest setting) I whisk the egg whites till foamy peaks appear. I gradually add sugar while the machine is on and when finished I spread it on to a baking tray (on non stick paper). Next make some stripe pattern using a knife or other kitchen tool and put in the pre-heated oven at 180 C for 20 minutes. Leave another 5 minutes in the oven before taking it out. Add powdered sugar and another sheet of baking paper and turn around. Carefully remove the paper and add the custard filling and finally roll it into a nice cake!
